We stayed at several resorts during out last Disney trip and Animal Kingdom Lodge was one of them. This resort is definitely one of my favorite Walt Disney World resorts. I love it! The room we stayed in was amazing and is my very favorite room so far.
The room we booked was a club level savannah view room but we ended up being upgraded to a fantastic one bedroom suite.
The Kilimanjaro Club Lounge is on the 6th floor but our room was on the 4th floor. It was actually a pretty far walk from the elevator but totally worth it.
When you first walk in the room, there is a bathroom to one side and a closet to the other. I loved that the closet had plenty of shelves to store stuff.
Next up was a little kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and sink. There was also a small dining table with four chairs.
Just past the dining area, was the living area. There was a sofa, chair, coffee table, and dresser with TV.
The bedroom area was separated by double doors. We had two beds, a dresser with TV, and a small table with one chair and a mirror.
There was a second bathroom attached to the bedroom. This one was much larger and had a bathtub separate from a shower. The shower in this bathroom was really nice but I apparently didn’t take a picture of it. You can see some of it reflected in the mirror though.
Lastly, we had a long balcony that stretched across both the living area and bedroom. There were doors to get out from each side and several chairs to sit on. The balcony is definitely one of the best parts of the room and the entire reason I had been wanting to stay at this resort. We loved the savannah view and being able to sit and watch the animals outside our room. There is also an animal viewing guide in the room so you can check off which animals you see from your balcony and around the resort.
The room is of course decorated in an African style and there are also a few Lion King touches as well.
If you’re looking for a different dining experience while at Disney World, make sure to check out Dine with an Animal Specialist. This has been one of my favorite experiences.{...}
