We recently stayed at the Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort at Walt Disney World and here is everything you need to know:
The All-Star Movies is only one of three All-Star resorts located at Disney World. The other two are the All-Star Music and the All-Star Sports. The All-Star resorts are value resorts so that means that they are among the most affordable resorts at Disney World.
What I love about the All-Star resorts is the larger than life adorable and fun theming. The theming at the All-Star Movies is my favorite of the three because as I’m sure you can guess, it’s all based on Disney movies.
Cinema Hall
Let’s start with the main building, Cinema Hall. When you first walk into Cinema Hall you come to the lobby. To the right are the check in desk and to the left you’ll find a small movie theater. I didn’t take pictures of the lobby for some reason but there are a big movie posters to take pictures with throughout Cinema Hall and I did take pictures of those. When we were there in July these were The Lion King, Aladdin, and Toy Story 4.
Also in Cinema Hall are All-Star Movie Hall of Fame displays. One display we saw was Star Wars and the other had a Golden Mickey award. There is also the gift shop (Donald’s Double Feature), the World Premiere Food Court, and the Reel Fun Arcade.
World Premiere Food Court
Similar to other Disney resort food courts, there are several different counters you can order food from. The All-Star Movies also has something the other All-Star resorts don’t have- a secret menu. (Shhhh…don’t tell anyone!) We actually saw someone order from the secret menu so that’s how we found out about it. If you want to order off the secret menu, you’ll need to go to the Roxy counter. The cast member will bring out a briefcase with viewfinders for you to view the menu.
Themed Sections
To get to your room, you’ll head outside of Cinema Hall to one of five sections. The five sections are Fantasia, Toy Story, Love Bug, 101 Dalmatians, and Mighty Ducks. The theming in each of these areas is so fun and there are so many great photo opportunities. Fantasia actually has two different themes. One side is the Nutcracker and the other side is the Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

Pools and Other Activities
There are two pools areas. The main pool is the Fantasia Pool. The other pool is the Duck Pond Pool in the Mighty Ducks section. During our stay we started off at the Duck Pond Pool because our room was in the Mighty Ducks section. The boys played here for quite awhile before we decided to head over to the Fantasia Pool.
The Fantasia Pool is the closest pool to every section except the Mighty Ducks. It’s also in the center of the resort and close to Cinema Hall. Because of this, it is much more crowded. The shallow section of the pool also happens to be really small so JT wasn’t able to go out very far. The Duck Pond Pool is a better option for little ones or anyone that prefers to stay on the shallow end. There is a kiddie pool area by the Fantasia Pool but it is mainly a splash pad. We ended up heading back to the Duck Pond Pool after maybe 10 minutes because the boys really liked that one better.
If you’re looking for something else to do, there is also a playground and the Reel Spot where you can watch movies during the evening.
That covers everything about the resort except the rooms and I have a completely separate post on that. Make sure to check that out here.
My favorite section of the resort was Toy Story. Which section of the resort would you most like to stay in?
