Disney’s All-Star resorts are a few of the value resort options at Walt Disney World. We recently stayed at Disney All-Star Movies in one of the newly refurbished rooms.
The refurbished rooms feel roomier than the old rooms due to the use of the table bed (Murphy bed). On one side of the room is the table bed and the queen bed.
The other side of the room has a dresser, wall mounted tv, and a bookcase type of furniture piece with shelves and a mini fridge. (What is this piece of furniture actually called? Is it a bookcase? That’s what it seems to be closest to.) This is also where the coffee machine and ice bucket are. Above the mini fridge is a drawer filled with coffee and tea items.
The bathroom is separated by a sliding door. There is also a door separating the toilet and bathtub/shower. The vanity has one sink and there are plenty of shelves next to the mirror and under the counter.
Despite the adorable theming of the rest of the resort, there isn’t much theming in the rooms themselves. The room basically has one main piece. When you first walk in, this piece is the only noticeable thing and it is picture of Minnie, Mickey, and Donald that hangs over the bed.
There is also another big piece but you won’t be able to see it while the bed is up. When we pulled our bed down, we found a fun picture of Huey, Dewey, and Louie asleep on a sofa and dreaming.
You’ll also find a bit of theming on the chairs. The fabric has movie reels, sports balls, and records on it to represent all 3 All-Star resorts.
One thing I really liked about this room was that it had plenty of spots for charging devices. Sometimes I have to disconnect a lamp or something to have an open outlet but there were outlets and USB ports everywhere in this room. They were on the dresser, on each side of the beds, and on the bookcase. I thought that was really cool because we’ve stayed in some rooms that either don’t have enough or they are in really inconvenient spots.
All-Star Movies’ newly refurbished rooms are much nicer than the old All Star rooms. They look cleaner and more modern. They are also more functional with plenty of storage space and outlets. The All-Star Movies is only one of the great affordable options when it comes to Walt Disney World resorts.
