Day 3 on the Disney Dream- Castaway Cay

Our 3rd day on the Disney Dream was our Castaway Cay day. We grabbed a quick breakfast at Cabanas before heading out. The boys did not want to miss Stitch who was meeting at the Post Office on the island.

We ended up getting in line for Stitch just as he arrived. We got our pictures and autographs and then hopped on the trolley towards the family beach.

The boys love swimming and playing in the water. They had so much fun!

Lunch is served on the island from 11:30am-2pm and we cut it pretty close to closing time. They were starting to close one side when we finally went to get lunch. We got lunch from Cookie’s Too BBQ but the same menu is served everywhere. The only exception is that I hear the dining location on Serenity Bay, the adult only beach, also serves steaks.

I wanted to check out the bike trail but we weren’t prepared for that so we just went to one of the gift shops and then made our way back to the ship. Chip n’ Dale were meeting close to the ship so we got in line to meet them before heading inside.

After taking quick showers, the boys wanted to get some ice cream and look at the island from the ship before we took off.

After that the boys got an autograph and picture from Captain Andy before heading to our final show, Believe.

Once the show was over, we finally started a game of Midship Detective Agency. This was one of things I really wanted to do, so since this was the last day I made sure we had time for it. The boys decided to start off with the Case of the Missing Puppies. Each team gets a case file and a card with a badge number on it. There are certain pictures throughout the ship that you play at. A golden badge on the floor marks the spot that you need to stand on and to hold your card up to the picture. There will be an animation and you’ll either uncover a clue or find a puppy (in this case). It’s similar to Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom.

Our dinner that day was at the Royal Palace.

We finished our game of Midship Detective Agency after dinner and then went to See Ya Real Soon. We were late though because we had wanted to finish the game first. Even though we were late, we still had time to meet Daisy, Cinderella, and Belle. This left only one page left in the boys’ autograph books.

We started another game of Midship Detective Agency after See Ya Real Soon. Connor really wanted to do the Muppet one. We were almost finished with it when the time turned to midnight and the game closed. We were sad because we were so close but we needed to get bed anyways because the next day was our disembarkation day.
