New 2019 Safari Ltd Collection – Toys that Teach!

My boys have always loved animals and they love to collect toys from Safari Ltd.

One of Connor’s favorites is the Macrauchenia. This is his favorite prehistoric mammal.
- With the 2019 Incredible Creatures collection, kids have the opportunity to learn about some of the world’s endangered animals. One of these fascinating animals is the Pangolin.
- Kids can learn about ancient and modern legends such as Bigfoot with the Mythical Realms collection.
- One of the boys’ favorite collections is the Dragons collection and the 2019 collection contains a lot of really cool dragons. Two of the boys’ favorites are the Steampunk Dragon and the Earth Dragon.
- Safari Ltd has also added new animals to their Wild Safari Wildlife, Sea Life, Wings of the World Birds, Best in Show, Winner’s Circle, and Safari Farms collections.
What I love about Safari Ltd’s toys is that they are beautifully made, very sturdy, and a lot of fun. They also provide a great resource called Safaripedia that provides information about all of the animals. You can find it on their website under the explore tab. The toys provide so many ways for kids to play and learn. Here are a few ideas based on what how my boys like to play:
- Create a zoo, safari, or pet shop. My boys love to do all three of these. Kids can group the animals together by species for these. If they are creating a zoo, they could even make signs that include a few facts about each animal.
- Make a model of a habitat like a jungle or a desert.
- Safari Ltd toys are also great for making stop motion videos. This was the first thing the boys wanted to do when they saw the dragons.
- Creative free play that is child led. Kids can use their imagination to play with these toys and create their own stories.
