I’m always looking for fun and educational websites for the boys to use so I was really excited to learn about the Dacobots eLearning portal.
The Dacobots are friendly robots that teach kids through the games. Each Dacobot teaches a different subject. There are currently games for health, math, science, history, and language.
Besides sorting games by grade or subject, Dacobots also has series. These are series of games all with the same theme. Some of the series are Masters of Astronomy, Healthy Eating, Arithmetic, and Autumn Secrets. The series that the boys have been focusing on is the Brain Power series.
The Brain Power series focuses on the brain and mnemonic devices. Kids learn about ways to keep their brain sharp along with learning about neurons, glial cells, how memory works, and mnemonic devices.
Dacobots awards kids with a virtual card for each game they complete. Each series has its own card deck.
The boys enjoyed playing the games and collecting cards. The only complaint that Connor had was that he didn’t like it when he had to start a game over completely for getting something wrong. This didn’t happen on all of the games but he did get frustrated when it happened. Other than that, he said he likes it.
Some of the subjects currently don’t have many games but they are consistently adding to the portal. Check out the Dacobots eLearning portal at https://www.dacobots.com and let me know what you think.
