Recently we picked up dinner from El Gallito de Jalisco. El Gallito de Jalisco is a food truck that we’ve passed by many times. I had always wanted to try it but never actually remembered when thinking about what to eat. Then the other day we were driving and trying to figure out what to get to eat when I saw the food truck and we decided to stop.
El Gallito de Jalisco’s menu consist of mini tacos, regular tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, gorditas, and tortas. We ordered mini asada tacos and crispy tacos and we all shared.
I’m a big fan of mini tacos and these were just as good as I was hoping they’d be. I don’t think the boys had ever had them before but they seemed to like them, especially Connor. I also enjoyed the crispy tacos. They were a nice small size as well. My favorite crispy tacos are from restaurants that use a picadillo with potatoes in it so these did not disappoint. The only thing I didn’t like was the salsa. We got both the regular red salsa and the salsa verde. They were just way too spicy for me so I couldn’t eat them at all.
El Gallito de Jalisco is on Huebner road in the north side of San Antonio. I was able to find a Facebook page for them if you’d like to check them out.
