Happy New Year everyone! I’m starting off the year with a post about the new event that the San Antonio Zoo had for the holidays- Zoo Lights.
The Zoo was open from 6-10 pm for the event everyday for a couple of weeks. Originally I wanted to go the week of Christmas because the weather was really nice but we ended up going last week and it was cold and drizzling a bit. We still enjoyed it though. We got there when it opened and started off to the left since we saw most people were going to the right. It was a bit dark for awhile this way but we did run into a few things.
There were more lights as we got nearer to the Africa exhibit.
This was also where Santa’s Workshop was. When we went Santa wasn’t there so the boys got to take a picture with some elves, a cute armadillo, and a legless lizard that I don’t recall the name of.
Most of the animals weren’t out but there were a few in the Africa exhibit.
There was also a section that had games that you could pay to play. We took a look but the boys didn’t play anything. After walking around there we went back the other way to look at more of the lights and around to the entrance.
We enjoyed Zoo Lights and I imagine that if it’s done again this year it will be even better.
