My Review:
Book of Dreams by Sylvie Michaud is such a cute book. It’s simple to read yet the text is full of descriptions that help bring the book to life. The illustrations are bright, colorful, and fun to look at. My personal favorite illustration was the whale; I love the blue stokes of color.
In the book Mama Ringtail says “Clouds are pictures in the sky that help us dream”. I love this concept. It’s something that kids will easily relate to because finding shapes in the clouds is something kids do all the time. I also liked this book because it reminded me of something I tell my boys all the time. Before they go to sleep I always tell them to dream of nice things like animals, flowers, and rainbows and Book of Dreams reminds them to dream of those things too
Connor says:
I like the book but it needs more dreams. Some of the clouds do look like the dream. My favorite dream was of the ocean and the whale.
JT says:
JT also liked the book but he said it needs lots more dreams. He really liked the picture of Baby Ringtail swimming in the stream with the fish. His favorite dream was the mountains.
