Abilene CALF 2013

So, I realize that just a few hours ago I said I was pretty much done with Abilene until next month, however I do have one more thing to say.

We received our festival items for the 2013 CALF today…actually it was yesterday, I just didn’t get the mail until today. This time I did take a picture so I wanted to share it now. If you read my Abilene CALF 2012 Day 1 post you will know what I’m talking about.

We received a tote bag, our festival t-shrits, Seymour passports, lanyards with our festival passes on them, and the brochure/itinerary. This year the featured artist for the festival is Walter Wick. His Can You See What I See? books will be the featured books for the readings. Seymour, who appears in all of his Can You See What I See? books, will be hidden in different locations throughout the festival and will also be receiving his own sculpture as part of the Storybook Sculpture project. If you aren’t familiar with these books Seymour is pictured on the tote bag, t-shirt, and festival pass. He is also on the passport but you can’t really see him on this picture.

We are really excited that it’s getting so close to the festival. The Abilene CALF is going to be taking place June 13th through the 16th.
